Apologies if you already have this email from Catherine.
Only a couple of weeks to go until the Queen's Jubilee and there's lots of preparations going on behind the scenes. Bunting will start to appear from today along the Main Road and we have to thank the team responsible - they've been knitting for weeks and we're sure it will look spectacular. Thank you to everyone involved.
There are still a few tickets available for the Jubilee Vintage Afternoon Tea on Saturday 4th June but be quick if you wish to go, the tickets are selling fast - for more details or to book, please contact Linda - 01434 01682069.
We're hoping the Jubilee Picnic and Sports Extravaganza will be huge fun on Sunday 5th June. The School and Pre-school will be running numerous stalls, our sports clubs are putting on various activities and we start at 11 am with children's races with medals and prizes for all.
The jubilee picnic will be at 1 pm - this is part of the nationwide Big Jubilee Lunch. Bring your picnic and a deckchair and keep your fingers crossed for sunny weather!!
We're setting up the tents on the Saturday evening and if you have an hour to spare we'd be grateful for your help - please meet at the sports field at Broomhaugh at 7 pm.
We also need space hoppers for one of the races - if you have one we can borrow please let me know (01434 682348)
