FILM CLUB - Friday 14th February

This is a 2013 film written and directed by Richard Curtis following his earlier success with romantic comedies like Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill, Bridget Jones's Diary, Love Actually… This film is essentially another romcom with the added dimension (literally) of ‘time’.

When Tim Lake (Domhnall Gleeson) is 21, his father (Bill Nighy – playing Bill Nighy as usual!) reveals the secret to him that the men in their family have the ability to relive sections of their past. Although he can't change history, Tim resolves to improve his life by getting a girlfriend. He meets Mary (Rachel McAdams), falls in love and tries to win her heart using the rewind aspect of time-travel (and a little cunning) to replay situations involving her that have misfired.

Themed food will be served, so come and join us on Friday 14thFebruary in the Parish Hall for a 7.30pm start. Doors open at 7pm (with food and drink available shortly afterwards); the entrance fee is £5; and the food costs £2.

See YouTube trailers on our film club page.
