The Bowls Club has been in existence for over 30 years and is highly regarded.
If you would like to try your hand at Carpet Bowls then please drop in any Monday afternoon at the Parish Hall Millfield Road NE44 6DJ
We play regularly starting at 1.30pm and finish at approximately 4.45pm with refreshments at a mid-session break.
There is no charge for trying out this sport and you will be able to experience this activity which is not dependent on physical being or age, only skill. Unlike Crown Green Bowls, you do not need to provide your own bowls.
We usually have about 20 or more members playing each Monday and during the winter months in the evening we play other villages at home and away, these include Corbridge, Whitley Chapel, Snods, Slaley, Wall, Newbrough and Haydon Bridge at total of 14 evening matches with 16 members in inter-village competitions.
We are always trying to improve our bowling and coaching is available for new members.
